Setting up Android Environment on Windows OS

1.Install Android SDK

  • Setup ANDROID_HOME variable:
    • Open “Environment Variables” dialog from win start menu -> Right click on My Computer -> Select properties -> Advanced system settings -> Environment Variables button from Advanced tab.

ANDROID_HOME

    • Add PATH

set ANDROID_HOME

2. Install Genymotion for Android Virtual Devices

3. Install Node.js

4.Install Appium

  • Set APPIUM variable: APPIUM=C:\Program Files (x86)\Appium\node_modules\.bin
