Create Android Virtual Device(AVD) with Android Studio

Required:

  • JAVA has installed and JAVA_HOME has set.
  • Android Studio has installed and ANDROID_HOME has set, please read my previous post about it.

Update Android SDK packages:

  1. open Android SDK manager by click on Screen Shot 2017-04-13 at 10.54.55 AMScreen Shot 2017-04-13 at 10.55.49 AM.png Click on “SDK Platforms” Tab and Select one of Android version that you will create new ADB with it.
  2. Click on “SDK Tools” tab and check all items here

  3. Click “Apply” button then wait a while to download all packages you chose in steps above.

Create AVD

  1. open AVD manager by click on Screen Shot 2017-04-13 at 11.01.49 AM.png icon.

  2. Click on “+ Create Virtual Device..” button

    Then click “Next”

    Click on “Next” button:

    And click on “Finish” button.
  3. Open AVD manager windows and find the AVD that has created, then click on “Start” buttonScreen Shot 2017-04-13 at 11.07.43 AM.png
